In Korea, various types of Christian schools exist today. Typically, what we refer to as a Christian school is an institution founded on Christian principles. Both mission schools and Christian schools aim to nurture Christian talent and spread the gospel based on a Christian worldview. However, there are significant differences in their methods and content. 

If we define a school’s Christian characteristics by its worship services and Bible studies, it closely aligns with what we term a mission school. In contrast, a Christian school integrates biblical principles into all activities, curricula, and student guidance. A true Christian school is operated by dedicated Christian teachers and actively involved Christian parents, all well-prepared with a Christian worldview. Christian education aims to raise children to be what God desires them to be.

Today, our children experience significant confusion between Christian and secular values, given the separate spheres of church and school. Many adolescents are addicted to cyber games and illegal websites, avoiding school life and struggling to focus on their studies. The addiction is severe, far exceeding what most parents might perceive. In this context, expecting spiritual transformation and proper Christian values through just one or two worship services and Bible studies per week is unrealistic. 

Therefore, only Christian education based on biblical principles can lead to a complete life as commanded in the Bible. Through these genuine Christian schools, we can protect our children from this sin-stained world and build a healthy kingdom of God. This mission is our duty, the Christian schools that please God, and what we must strive to achieve.
